U.S. police are investigating the death of British tourist that died following a cosmetic buttocks treatment at a Philadelphia hotel.
Twenty year-old Claudia Aderotimi, a UK resident thought to be a Nigerian national, traveled to Philadelphia with three friends -- where she had silicone injected into her buttocks on Monday (February 7), according to media reports.
Shortly after receiving the injections, Aderotimi suffered from chest pains and had trouble breathing. She was then rushed from her hotel to Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, Pennsylvania where she died.Police said the cosmetic procedure was arranged over the Internet and have questioned a woman believed to be involved in it.
"We're not quite sure right now if that person who performed that procedure is licensed, unlicensed. We are still working that information," said Philadelphia Lieutenant John Walker.
