China Successfully Sends Remote-Sensing Satellite Into Space

 China-Satellite -- China successful sends remote-sensing satellite into space

 China Central Television (CCTV) - A Long March-4C carrier rocket carrying the Yaogan XVII remote-sensing satellite blasted off at Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Jiuquan, northwest China's Gansu Province, on Monday morning.

The satellite successfully entered into the preset orbit.

The Yaogan XVII remote-sensing satellite is mainly used for scientific experiments, investigation of land resources, yield estimation of agricultural products and disasters control and precautions.

It is the 180th launch of the Long March series of carrier rockets.
