Struggling mobile phone maker Nokia has sound a software bug in its new flagship Lumia 900 model.

FINLAND-NOKIA BUG - It's only two months since Nokia's new Lumia 900 mobile phones were showcased at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

But already, they've hit trouble.

Nokia has found a software bug which could cause a phone to lose its data connection.

Nokia says it will release a software update next week which will fix the problem in the device, which uses the Windows Phone operating system.

The Lumia only went on sale in the United States two days ago, and was due to launch globally this quarter.

The phone is being sold by operators for $100 in the U.S, but to attract customers it will initally come with $100 call credit included.

Nokia badly needs the phone to succeed, as it tries to claw back ground in the lucrative smartphone market which it has lost to rivals like Apple, Google and Samsung.
